Countdown to the start of the Route du Rhum

Partners

Canada Ocean Racing is actively seeking official partners and suppliers to join our quest as Scott Shawyer aims to become the first Canadian solo sailor to finish the 2028 edition of the gruelling, non-stop, and unassisted around-the-world yacht race, the Vendée Globe.

The sport of round-the-world sailing has captured significant attention, captivating a rapidly growing global audience with its unique blend of sport and adventure. Our team, named the ‘Be Water Positive’ sailing team, is dedicated to promoting water positivity on a global scale and advocating for water conservation.

We invite potential sponsors within or beyond the water industry, who share a vision of being purpose-driven, action-focused, and committed to social, environmental, and economic goals, to join Scott and the team on this epic endeavour.

The team offers a comprehensive value proposition, including;

  • Global brand activation
  • Unique customer engagement
  • Creative campaign stories
  • Product showcasing opportunities
  • Sustainability initatives
  • Network development
  • Global media coverage
  • Contributions to corporate social responsibility

Additionally, the team emphasizes their commitment to innovation and science, providing partners with a platform to develop, test, and promote state-of-the-art technologies.

This campaign serves as an opportunity for brands to align with a unique and brave athlete on this genuinely extraordinary journey.

‘’Hosting nearly 60 clients, partners, and friends aboard the BeWaterPositive IMOCA during its visit to Québec City was a powerful reminder that growth happens when we step beyond our comfort zone.

Guests had the unique opportunity to tour this true ‘Formula 1 of the sea’, meet the team behind the project, and hear Scott Shawyer share his remarkable journey of pushing limits, challenging the status quo, and pursuing a goal many considered unattainable.

What resonated most from Scott’s presentation was not just the race itself, but the decision to pursue a dream that seemed unlikely, difficult, and uncertain.

His journey, from engineer and business leader to offshore skipper pursuing the ambition of becoming the first Canadian to complete the Vendée Globe, demonstrates that extraordinary achievements begin when we stop running on autopilot and give ourselves permission to discover what we are truly capable of.

As leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators, we can all find ourselves following a well-defined course. Scott’s story reminds us that meaningful accomplishments, and growth rarely start with certainty. They begin when we challenge ourselves, embrace discomfort, and dare to take on something bigger than ourselves. At H2O Innovation, that same spirit of ambition, resilience, and purpose drives everything we do.” Frederic Dugre, President & CEO, H20 Innovation
